How points work
Earn 100 XP for a correct first answer, or 60 XP with a hint. Solve a previously missed activity in review for 40 XP. Each activity earns points once per session. A mistake resets your streak, but keeps your points and achievements.
Hints are available throughout. Starting a new level or playing again starts a fresh score. Points celebrate practice; they do not measure exam readiness.
A quick way to think it through
Due diligence
Investigate risks and verify safeguards so decisions are informed.
“What do we know, and how do we know it?”
Due care
Act prudently by implementing, operating and maintaining reasonable safeguards.
“Are we putting reasonable protection into practice?”
Both are ongoing and work together. Investigation also involves action, so “doing something” alone does not make an activity due care. Classify the purpose of the highlighted activity.
The line this game draws: checking whether a safeguard works is due diligence, even when the check is scheduled and hands-on. Operating or maintaining that safeguard is due care. Some study guides describe a scheduled test as practising due care instead, so if you meet that framing elsewhere, you have not misread either source.

The concepts behind this game
Distinguish due diligence from due care by the purpose of an activity. Both are ongoing responsibilities.
- Due diligence
- Investigate risks and verify whether safeguards work so decisions are informed.
- Due care
- Implement, operate and maintain reasonable safeguards to protect the organisation.
A restore test gathers evidence about recovery capability: due diligence. Restoring a live service during an outage puts a safeguard into operation: due care. The purpose matters more than the verb.
